The short version: use Todo Whale to get things done, be kind, and enjoy your world. The details are below.
1. These terms and the app
These terms cover the Todo Whale app and the todowhale.com website. By using either, you agree to them.
The app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These terms add to that agreement. If the two ever disagree, Apple's agreement applies.
2. Whale Plus
Todo Whale is free to download and use. Whale Plus is an optional upgrade, bought in the app through the App Store.
- Plans. Plus is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy.
- Free trial. The yearly plan may include a free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancelling. You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple. You can ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restoring. If you reinstall the app or get a new phone, use Restore purchases in the app.
When Plus ends, your choices are kept and everything you made stays. Plus extras simply stop applying until Plus is active again.
3. Your content
Your tasks, notes and everything you create in the app belong to you. They stay on your device and in your own iCloud, as described in our privacy policy.
4. Using Todo Whale fairly
Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or the website, or use them to break the law.
5. Not medical advice
Todo Whale is a productivity app. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose, treat or cure any condition. The research described on our website explains why the app is designed the way it is; it isn't a promise of any particular result. If you're struggling, please talk to a qualified professional.
6. Changes to the app
We keep improving Todo Whale, so features may change or be added. Features that are free won't be moved into Plus, and we'll do our best to keep everything you made safe through every update.
7. Disclaimer and liability
We work hard to make Todo Whale reliable, but it's provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental losses, such as a missed deadline or lost data, that come from using or being unable to use the app or website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
8. Our art and name
The Todo Whale name, the whale, the worlds, the art and the app's design belong to Todo Whale. Press and reviewers may use the images in our press kit when writing about Todo Whale.
9. Trademarks
Apple, the Apple logo and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Todo Whale after a change means you accept the new terms.
